Summer Updates

A lack of writing doesn't mean nothing's been going on around here.

July and August sure flew by, and it's with zero regrets that I'm here to report that I've written very little this summer. Life got busy and stayed busy. But instead of trying to squeeze writing time out of every spare moment, I've been allowing myself to do some other things without feeling guilty about it—like finally finishing Horizon Forbidden West.

That said, I also launched this very website early in July and have been somewhat surprised by how many of you have signed up as members, especially given my lack of recent output. And there are enough of y'all now that I ended up having to migrate this site to a paid hosting provider for stability reasons, which I did early this week and hopefully without anyone noticing. (Me, paying good money to make my work available for free? What insanity is this? 😅)

But now I'm feeling the itch to write again, which means it's time to knuckle down and get something done. Something called "States of Resemblance"—the final chapter of which has been a real challenge to finish. Perhaps I'm afraid of the strong possibility that there's more story here than can be wrapped up in a neat five chapters.

How do we feel about ambiguous endings?

P.S. I'll be posting a little sneak peek tomorrow for folks in the Inner Circle!
