Proof of Life (And Some Housekeeping)
Hi, hello, it's been forever and a day, I know. I've been trying to write this post for months while having little to say other than I haven't had much motivation to write fiction for public consumption this year. Chalk it up to having a lot going on in my personal life and my ennui at the state of creative work in the year 2026.
But the funny thing about writing is that I always come crawling back to it. So I've been working on a couple of projects that have been nagging me for years—finishing what I started. I'm as shocked as you are!
With this in mind, I hope—hope hope hope—to be posting more in the coming weeks, though that does raise a slightly tricky housekeeping matter for those of you who've signed up to receive story update notifications on this website. (And there are quite a lot of you! Every time I look at the number I'm surprised all over again!)
OG readers who've been with me for a long time are here for Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. Pretty easy to figure out. But in the past year I wrote some stories for Ghost of Yōtei and now it's much less clear if someone is here for that fandom instead.
To solve this conundrum, I'm going to be sending an email to a very targeted list of folks for whom I don't know what fandom you're interested in. Because the last thing I want to do is spam your inbox with notifications about stories in fandoms you don't care about.
I also wanted to let y'all know that you can always drop me a line whenever you want your notifications changed. Leaving a fandom? No problem, I'll make sure you no longer get those updates.
I'll close by saying that I deeply appreciate that you're here and reading my work and checking in on me while I've been futzing around for months. It's why I keep crawling back to writing. You like my stuff, I like that you like my stuff... It's the circle of creative life.
